Bayaguana. – The Mayor of the municipality of Bayaguana, Frangel García, received on Monday morning three teenagers who were caught by security cameras while throwing garbage on the public road, specifically in front of the establishment Repuesto El Guardia, in the Las Flores sector.
The municipal executive reported that, after holding a dialogue with the young women and their families, it was agreed as a corrective measure that the minors perform cleaning work in the Central Park for three days. This action seeks to raise awareness and prevent similar events from happening again in the municipality.
The teenagers, who are minors, admitted their responsibility and explained that they acted under the influence of alcohol. Likewise, they pledged not to engage in this type of behavior again.
Ingrid Rodríguez, sister of one of those involved, was present at the meeting, accompanying the minors to offer a public apology to the people of Bayaguana for what happened, an action that generated rejection in the community.
The cleaning days will be supervised by the head of the Department of Ornamentation of the City Council, Carlos De Jesús Berroa, who indicated that the work will begin this Tuesday under his coordination.
Municipal authorities reiterated the call to citizens to collaborate with the maintenance of order and cleanliness of public spaces, underlining that the care of the municipality is a shared responsibility.
