Mery Plasencio wins as Announcer of the Year at the El Galardón Awards

Santo Domingo.- Communicator Mery Plasencio won the “Announcer of the Year” award at the 2026 edition of “Premios El Galardón,” consolidating her career as one of the most influential and admired voices in Christian and radio communication in the country.

This recognition rewards the excellence, professionalism, and dedication that Plasencio has demonstrated throughout his career, standing out for his ability to inform, guide, and connect with the audience through authentic, ethical, and human communication.

In addition to her work in the media, Mery is responsible for the training and development processes for members and associates of the Dominican Christian Broadcasters Network (RLCD), from where she promotes the strengthening of the professional, ethical, and communication skills of those who are part of this organization.

Their career also includes a prominent role as the voice-over for the Diamond Voice Awards in several of its editions, contributing their talent and experience to one of the main recognition events for voice and communication professionals.

The honoree on this occasion has developed a solid career as a broadcaster, master of ceremonies, and news anchor, standing out in spaces such as “En Contacto Radio,” where she has managed to connect with the audience through a communicative practice characterized by credibility, approachability, and professionalism.
