Mexico.- The Secretariat of Anti-Corruption and Good Governance of Mexico warned this Sunday of a possible exposure of personal data in a system allegedly linked to the Mexican airline Aeroméxico, following an active forensic monitoring of security incidents.
In a statement, the federal agency warned of the discovery of a post on Telegram, disseminated on September 18, 2026, in which a user, whose name was not revealed, allegedly offers a database attributable to the largest airline in the country, in terms of fleet and number of destinations.
The database has more than 15 million records and a size of 1.10 GB, which include full name, email, telephone, mobile phone, date of birth, and registration date, the document reported.
“This authority obtained a sample of 100,096 records with those same fields, among which names of various people were identified, including public servants and public figures,” it highlighted.

He explained that the data obtained during the monitoring is being analyzed to “initiate an ex officio investigation that allows for the determination of alleged responsibility regarding the compromised databases.”
He also detailed that the inspection will be carried out in the exercise of the Secretariat’s powers to verify compliance with the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, as provided for in articles 54 and 55 of said regulation.
