Mid-air collision of two helicopters in New Jersey leaves one dead and one seriously injured

Two helicopters crashed in the air in the state of New Jersey, United States, resulting in the death of one person and leaving another seriously injured, local authorities reported. The accident occurred while both aircraft were in operation. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), it was an aerial collision between an Enstrom F-28A helicopter and an Enstrom 280. Only the pilot was traveling in each of the aircraft. Following the impact, emergency teams, including police and firefighters, quickly arrived at the scene of the accident. One of the helicopters caught fire, but the flames were brought under control by the firefighters. Authorities continue to investigate the causes of the accident to determine what caused the collision between both aircraft.
