Santo Domingo.– Calasanz School will host this Monday the V National Debate Championship (CND), an event that will bring together students from the country’s 18 educational regions in a competition aimed at strengthening critical thinking, argumentation, and youth leadership.
The initiative, organized by the Student Leadership Program of the Dominican Republic (PLE-RD), a dependency of the Ministry of Education (Minerd), projects the participation of 78 teams, composed of 234 debating students, in addition to 125 judges and 78 teacher coaches, who will accompany the development of the sessions.
Created in 2022, the National Debate Championship has established itself as a space for academic training that promotes dialogue, respect, and the exchange of ideas among young people from across the country. Through this competition, participants strengthen their communication and analysis skills on topics of public, national, and international interest.
In addition to the competitors, the event will feature a large support team made up of academic and logistical staff, volunteers, and collaborators from the PLE-RD and the Ministry of Education, responsible for ensuring the development of the championship.
