La Vega, D.R. – The National Police arrested Daniel Paulino Marcial, 33, during a preventive operation in this city.
Upon being searched, the detainee was found in possession of a Glock brand pistol, 9 mm caliber, with a fire selector and an extended magazine with a capacity for 30 rounds, containing eight (8) rounds of ammunition for it.
The detainee is accused of violating Law 631-16 for the Control and Regulation of Arms, Ammunition, and Related Materials, for the illegal carrying of a firearm, as well as for carrying a weapon modified with a fire selector, the possession and use of which are restricted by current legislation.

The defendant was transferred to the Operational Detachment I of La Vega and will be brought to justice for the corresponding legal purposes.
