Santo Domingo. — A little over a week before the 30-day deadline granted to the Espaillat brothers’ defense expires, work continues on the new technical expert assessment in the Jet Set nightclub case.
Recent images show experts conducting surveys among the rubble of the nightclub, the scene of the tragedy that left a balance of 236 people dead and more than 180 injured, one of the most shocking events recorded in the country in recent years.
In the visual material, structural details that are part of the investigation can be seen, including the presence of several layers of thin, low-thickness material. According to the previous expert report, these layers would have reached a total of about 37 centimeters, a key element within the technical evaluations.
The work of the specialists seeks to delve into the causes of the collapse, while the authorities advance in the judicial process and the deadline granted to the defense to present its arguments approaches.
It is expected that the results of this new expert assessment will provide crucial information for clarifying the case and establishing possible responsibilities.
