Santo Domingo.- The Metropolitan Bus Service Operator enabled the new route “Connection service to the Parque del Este”, to facilitate the transport of the population that will attend the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.

This route, which will operate free of charge during the celebration of this sporting event, from July 24 to August 8, connects to the Concepción Bona station of the Santo Domingo Metro, thus allowing for easy transfers for users.

In addition, the transport entity reiterated its commitment to the transport of athletes, collaborators and volunteers, for which 400 buses have been arranged in coordination with the Student Transport System (TRAE).

“The country’s success in organizing these games depends on good transport service,” stated the executive vice president of OMSA, Onéximo González, while reminding drivers that the commitment to provide good service is not only to President Luis Abinader, but to the Dominican Republic. “We cannot fail the country,” he indicated.

Likewise, he highlighted the conditioning process of the units that will be providing service, which will be constantly cleaned and sanitized with ozone, achieving a disinfection of up to 99.9%
