Duarte.-An unexpected turn has taken place in the legal case involving physician Wilver Armando Polanco Sanz, who is facing proceedings for an alleged sexual assault that occurred during a pelvic sonography at his health center, after the complainant requested that the court release the doctor.
During the hearing, the patient stated that, over time, she understood that she had been mistaken in interpreting the procedure performed by the specialist and affirmed that the medical examination was carried out in accordance with the corresponding protocols.
The woman further stated that she does not wish to harm the doctor, acknowledging that she misinterpreted the action and attitude of the healthcare professional during the consultation.
In that sense, he asked the court to order the release of Polanco Sanz, considering that his complaint was the result of a confusion regarding the medical procedure performed.
