Police and Public Ministry seize dozens of electronic devices in operation in Santiago

Santiago de los Caballeros. – Agents of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) of the National Police, in coordination with the Public Ministry, carried out a raid on a grocery store located in the Arroyo Hondo sector, Fondo de la Botella neighborhood, in the south zone of this city, where dozens of electronic devices allegedly linked to illicit activities were seized.

The operation was carried out in compliance with judicial order No. 2026-AJ0029049, as part of an investigation related to property crimes.

During the intervention, a 53-year-old woman, a resident of the place, was arrested and is under investigation.

In the establishment, three computers, a television, two machines for selling numbers, six tablets of different brands, 76 cell phones, six covers, and a slot machine were seized.

According to the preliminary report, the seized equipment will be subjected to a verification process to determine its origin and establish whether they are linked to criminal acts.

Both the detainee and the evidence were made available to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
