Proindustria and the Santo Domingo Norte Business Council sign an alliance to boost industrial development

Santo Domingo. – The Industrial Development Center and Competitiveness (Proindustria) and the Business Council of North Santo Domingo (CESDN) signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of strengthening the industrial, business and productive ecosystem of that municipality, through joint actions aimed at improving the competitiveness and sustainable growth of companies.

The agreement was signed by the general director of Proindustria, Rafael Cruz Rodríguez, and the president of the CESDN, Carlos Julián Pérez, who highlighted the importance of the alliance to promote local economic development and expand opportunities for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), as well as for industrial ventures in the demarcation.

During the event, Cruz Rodríguez stated that the institution is committed to industrialization that reaches territories with growth potential, highlighting that the agreement will allow the execution of initiatives focused on technical training, the strengthening of SMEs, increased productivity, and the creation of value chains that promote the entrepreneurial and industrial ecosystem of Santo Domingo Norte.

For his part, Carlos Julián Pérez pointed out that the signing represents much more than an institutional agreement, considering that it opens up new opportunities for entrepreneurs, merchants, industrialists and young people in the municipality interested in developing in a more competitive and modern environment. Among the main points covered in the agreement are the implementation of business strengthening programs, the promotion of business formalization, the conduct of specialized workshops and training, as well as technical assistance aimed at increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the industrial sector.

Likewise, both entities will work on promoting innovation and modernization initiatives for production processes, as well as fostering integration between manufacturing industries, suppliers, providers, and logistics actors to strengthen value chains in the territory. The agreement also contemplates the identification and accompaniment of ventures and industries with growth potential, facilitating tools and technical support that contribute to their consolidation and expansion. The activity took place in the Boardroom of Proindustria and was attended by representatives from both institutions, including Arquímedes Pérez, second vice president of the CESDN; Jacqueline Zorrilla, executive director of the business entity; Nilo de la Rosa, technical subdirector of Proindustria; Ilonka Acosta, director of Industry Support, and Sergio Pérez, head of the Legal Department. With this initiative, Proindustria and the Santo Domingo Norte Business Council formalize a strategic alliance aimed at promoting innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable development of the industrial and business sector of the municipality.
