Santo Domingo.- With the purpose of strengthening the capabilities of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) that are state suppliers, the PROLIDERCOOP Services Cooperative announced the celebration of the MSME Forum on State Procurement and Contracting, a training space focused on the changes introduced by the new Law 47-25 on Public Procurement.

The activity will take place on June 27 and 28 at the Regency Hall of the Dominican Fiesta Hotel, in Santo Domingo, and will bring together entrepreneurs, government suppliers, representatives of trade associations, and public procurement specialists.

During the meeting, participants will receive guidance on the main modifications established in Law 47-25 and its Regulation 52-26, as well as on the challenges and opportunities faced by companies interested in participating in State procurement and contracting processes.

Among the topics to be addressed are the rights of bidders before the Public Administration, the defense mechanisms established in the Constitution and Law 107-13, due diligence in exception processes, restrictions for ultimate beneficial owners, and corporate responsibilities within the framework of government contracting.

Likewise, situations that impact State suppliers will be analyzed, particularly those linked to processes of the National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE), in addition to aspects related to guarantees and bonds required to contract with public institutions.
