SANTO DOMINGO. – The manager of the Dominican Republic baseball team, Albert Pujols, announced this Tuesday the order of starting pitchers who will lead the Quisqueyan team in the initial phase of the 2026 World Baseball Classic. The information was released during a telephone interview on the radio program Mañana Deportiva.   • Christopher Sánchez will open against Nicaragua.
  • Luis Severino will take the mound against Netherlands.
  • Brayan Bello will be in charge of starting the duel against Israel.
  • Sandy Alcántara will close the group stage against Venezuela.
The Dominican strategist assured that all the selected pitchers arrive in optimal physical condition and without restrictions, which will allow the coaching staff to count on them to the maximum of their capacity for the commitments of the initial phase of the tournament.
