Santo Domingo.– Businessman Raymond Rodríguez is beginning to establish himself as one of the leading figures eyeing the candidacy for Mayor of the National District for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), as commented by communicator Julito Hazim during the broadcast of the program Revista 110.
Rodríguez has maintained an active participation in municipal affairs during the two terms of Mayor Carolina Mejía’s administration, getting involved in initiatives related to the development of the capital.
In addition to his involvement in local management issues, the president of the GBC Foundation has developed a social work agenda in different sectors of the National District, promoting community assistance programs and support for low-income families.
In recent weeks, his name has gained momentum within the ruling party, where various sectors place him among the possible contenders to obtain the PRM nomination for the Mayoralty of the National District ahead of the next elections.
Raymond Rodríguez is also the owner of one of the leading pharmacy chains in the Dominican Republic, a career path he has combined with social and community initiatives through the GBC Foundation.
