Representative Antonio Brito calls for completion of pensions for drivers of the Independencia corridor

Santo Domingo.– The deputy and vice president of the National Federation of Transportation La Nueva Opción (Fenatrano), Antonio Brito, thanked President Luis Abinader for the delivery of 114 pensions to drivers of the Independencia corridor, out of a total of 214 that had been requested. Brito valued this first delivery as a gesture of recognition for the effort and dedication of dozens of men who for years have served in public transport, contributing to the mobility of thousands of citizens. The legislator pointed out that these pensions represent significant support for drivers who have dedicated a large part of their lives to driving, many of whom are already elderly or have limitations to continue working. You can also read: In that regard, Brito respectfully requested the President of the Republic to complete the process with the approval of the remaining 100 pensions, in order to benefit all drivers included in the submitted application.

“The goal is for all these transportation workers to have a decent pension that allows them to improve their quality of life after so many years of service to society,” he expressed.

Finally, he reiterated his gratitude to the Government for the disposition shown so far and expressed his confidence that the authorities will continue to support the public transport workers of the country.
