Santo Domingo.– The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of Azua will hear this Friday the request for a coercive measure against Mariely Figuereo Ramírez, a sergeant of the Dominican Republic Air Force (FARD), accused of the death of her mother-in-law, Rosa Marte.

The hearing will be held at the Courthouse of that province, where the Public Prosecutor’s Office will present the evidence with which it seeks to support the imposition of a precautionary measure while investigations continue.

The case has generated great attention since the body of Rosa Marte was located last Saturday in some bushes in the community of Las Guanábanas, in Azua, after remaining missing for nine days.

According to preliminary investigations, the accused allegedly admitted her participation in the act and indicated that she abandoned the body in that area after committing the crime.

The authorities continue to deepen the investigations to clarify the circumstances in which the homicide occurred, while the court will decide this Friday the coercive measure that the accused will face during the judicial process.
