Santo Domingo.– Businessman and communicator Santiago Matías (Alofoke) revealed that he participated alongside the United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Leah Campos, and members of the diplomatic staff in the Freedom 250 event, held this Friday in the province of La Vega.

During a broadcast, Matías stated that he attended the meeting held at La Marquesina de Esteban, where, as he explained, he shared with the ambassador and other representatives of the U.S. diplomatic mission. “I shared with Ambassador Leah Campos and the staff of the United States Embassy at the Freedom 250 event, in La Vega,” he expressed.

The communicator pointed out that an atmosphere of integration developed among the attendees at the event, with recreational activities such as domino games and other dynamics. Likewise, he indicated that photographs were taken and several videos were recorded showing moments of the celebration.

The invitation to the event was made by the United States Embassy under the name Freedom 250, an initiative with which it commemorates the 250th anniversary of American independence and promotes cultural exchange activities together with Dominican communities.

According to the announcement released by the diplomatic mission, the activity took place on the afternoon of Friday, August 14, 2026, at La Marquesina de Esteban, located at 13 Benito Monción Street, in La Vega.
