Santo Domingo.- The businessman and communicator Santiago Matías arrived this Thursday at the house of Planeta Alofoke, where he spoke with the participants about the impact of the visit of the American streamer IShowSpeed during his broadcast in the Dominican Republic.
During the meeting, Matías revealed that he took the young people to the studio to explain various topics related to the content creator’s visit, including the controversy that arose after a viral video in which, according to what he said, IShowSpeed had insinuated the existence of “bots” in broadcasts made in the country.
Although the streamer didn’t mention names directly, Santiago expressed that he understood the comment referred to the Dominican digital environment, assuring that he has no issues with that type of opinion.
“The number of views from yesterday was real. Yes, we had that many people connected,” affirmed Matías, highlighting the reach achieved during the special broadcast.
The businessman also commented with laughter on the difficulties he had communicating in English during the meeting with IShowSpeed, pointing out that there were several things he wanted to express, but that the translators did not exactly convey what he wanted to say.
“I won, I’m at the top,” Santiago expressed, also assuring that many people value the work he has built on digital platforms.
At another point in the conversation, the content creator spoke about figures who, according to him, have tried to affect his career, mentioning the Puerto Rican influencer Molusco, of whom he said he doesn’t know if the criticisms towards him respond to “envy”.
Furthermore, Matías highlighted the impact that IShowSpeed’s visit had on the country, assuring that the audience recorded in the Dominican Republic surpassed that achieved in many other territories.
“IShowSpeed had one of the biggest audiences here in the Dominican Republic. The whole country moved and that stayed in my head,” he stated.
