International Writing.- The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense reported the successful interception and destruction of drones and a missile this Sunday “without any damage or casualties being reported in the Eastern region.”
In a first statement on its X account, the ministry reported that its defense systems had “intercepted and shot down five drones over the Eastern Province in the last hour.” This was followed by a statement about the attack of “three ballistic missiles against its capital, of which one was intercepted, while the others fell in an uninhabited area.”
And finally, a new statement where he affirmed that “he intercepted and shot down four other drones over the Eastern Province, hours after the attack on Riyadh.”
This series of attacks is part of several similar ones so far in March «with more than 60 drones shot down», linked to tensions with the Houthis in Yemen, according to the ministry’s statements on X.
Since Saturday, the eastern province has received air strikes against energy facilities “with at least dozens of drones shot down in the last hours” expressed the official source.
