The Spanish Stock Exchange recorded a new historical high this Tuesday, reaching nearly 17,400 points, with a rise of 0.93%, due to the advance of banks, large caps, and European markets. The main index of the Spanish park, the IBEX 35, gained 159.1 points, that’s 0.93%, and ended the day at 17,354.9 points (a little before closing it registered the intraday record of 17,384.9 points). In the year it accumulates a rise of 49.68%. The Spanish Stock Exchange avoided the 0.15% drop in Wall Street at the national close thanks to the banks (the sector rose an average of 1.4%), the rise of large companies and European markets. The Brent crude oil barrel rose 0.03% to $61.96.

All the major stocks rose: Banco Santander up 1.61% (fourth-largest rise on the IBEX); BBVA up 1.47% (fifth); Telefónica up 0.89%, Inditex up 0.71%, Iberdrola up 0.68% and Repsol up 0.57%.
