Washington .- The prostate cancer suffered by former U.S. President Joe Biden, 83, is “very painful” and “very debilitating,” his son Hunter Biden revealed in an interview with the British network BBC.

“My father is, to this day, the center of our family,” declared a visibly moved Hunter, who added that “he is the best father, the best husband, the best grandfather.”

Last year, after leaving the White House, the Democratic politician announced that he had been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer with bone metastasis.

Despite undergoing treatment, the former head of state has maintained some public activity and participated last June in the inauguration of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.

In the interview, Hunter Biden explained that the “cancer has spread, it has metastasized to his bones and other parts. It is very painful” and “very debilitating”.

“The only thing I say about my father, about his health at the moment, is that I wish he would complain more,” he added.

During his term, between 2021 and 2025, Biden was the subject of constant questioning regarding his advanced age and his ability to perform the duties of the office.

Finally, he was forced to drop out of his reelection campaign and pass the torch to his then-vice president, Kamala Harris, after his poor performance in a presidential debate against Republican Donald Trump, the current president.
