Paris (EFE).- Three women were stabbed this Monday in Paris by an individual who was arrested immediately after by an off-duty police officer, who is currently under investigation to determine the motive for the attack.
As explained by the French Minister of the Interior, Laurent Núñez, in a press conference, the lives of the three women, aged 19, 24, and 36, are not in danger, although two of them are in a condition of “absolute urgency.”
Núñez, who appeared at the end of the Council of Ministers, specified that the suspect’s arrest took place around 11:30 local time (9:30 GMT) around the Porte de Clichy, in the 17th arrondissement, in the northeast of the city.

The attack was carried out with two kitchen knives. The two women who are in the most serious condition were struck, one in the back and the other in the abdomen.
The minister, who paid tribute to the officer who managed to subdue the alleged perpetrator of the events, said that the individual gave an identity that is being verified, as he was not carrying any documentation on him.

He also asked for caution when putting forward the possible motivations for his action, but he did reveal that his initial explanations were “incoherent”.
