San Juan.– Deputy Carlos Morillo (Chijo) accompanied a commission of smallholders from the AC-30 settlement, located in the Santomé sector, to a meeting with the executive director of the Technical Executing Unit for State Land Titling (UTECT), Duarte Martínez Peña, with the goal of advancing the definitive titling process for their properties.
During the meeting, the authorities addressed the situation that for decades has affected dozens of families who still do not have the property titles that guarantee them legal security over the lands they occupy.
Martínez Peña expressed his willingness to work towards finding a solution to this problem, highlighting the institution’s interest in streamlining the processes that allow small farmers to obtain the corresponding legal documentation.

For his part, Deputy Carlos Morillo explained that for several months he has been carrying out efforts and holding meetings with the plot owners and the competent authorities to promote a definitive solution that makes the delivery of property titles possible.
