Washington.- U.S. President Donald Trump described the situation in the Spanish city of Ceuta (in North Africa) as “terrible” this Friday and warned that his country will experience the same if the Democratic opposition wins the 2028 presidential election.
“It’s terrible. Remember that image. That’s how we will be in three years if the wrong side wins,” Trump said in statements to the Fox News network.
Ally of Morocco
Trump, whose administration curbed migration flows at the border with Mexico and restricted access to asylum, warned Americans that they “will not live very well” if the Democrats win.
Thousands of people from Morocco entered Ceuta irregularly on Thursday, a migration crisis that has left at least 34 dead.
According to the Spanish Ministry of the Interior, more than 25,000 of the approximately 49,000 people who crossed the border have already returned to Morocco.
