Two people die in alleged femicide in Las Guáranas; three children are left orphaned

Duarte.– An alleged case of femicide recorded this Monday night in the municipality of Las Guáranas, Duarte province, left two people dead and three children orphaned, according to preliminary information.

The victims were identified as Dahiana Paulino Santo, 24, and Diango Burgo Rodríguez, approximately 40 years old.

According to the data obtained so far, the alleged perpetrator of the incident is an officer assigned to the Department of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM), although the authorities have not provided official details regarding the circumstances under which the event occurred.

The case has generated dismay among community residents, while family members and loved ones of the victims mourn the tragedy.

The authorities are keeping investigations open to clarify the facts, establish the corresponding responsibilities, and provide further details on this new episode of violence that leaves a family in mourning and three minors without the care of their parents.

It is expected that in the coming hours the National Police and the Public Ministry will issue an official report with further information on the case.
