UASD signs agreement with the University of Massachusetts Amherst

Santo Domingo.- The rector of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), Editrudis Beltrán Crisóstomo, signed an agreement in his office with the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMA), represented by Dr. Katryn Denorise, with the aim of establishing a relationship of cooperation, academic and research collaboration. Through the agreement, both educational entities agree on joint educational programs and research projects, while fostering direct contacts and cooperation between their teachers, postgraduate students, departments, institutes, and academic planning staff. It was also agreed that, according to the interest expressed by both universities, there is the possibility of establishing joint research projects for mutual benefit between departments and individual faculty members.

Likewise, it is planned to allow the exchange of teachers through short and long-term visits, for research, teaching and presentation of seminars. Likewise, it establishes the exchange of graduate and undergraduate students, the joint supervision of postgraduate research students, as well as other activities of mutual interest and benefit. The agreement will remain in force for four (4) years, at the end it will be reviewed by both parties and will be renewed by mutual consent, it may be terminated by either party with a written notice of termination of six months.
