Villa Carmen crowned champion of the Mini Women’s Volleyball SDE 2025

Santo Domingo.– The Villa Carmen sextet wrote its name in golden letters by being proclaimed champion of the Fifth Municipal Mini Volleyball Convivio of Santo Domingo Este 2025, after defeating with authority the Élite Club, which had to settle for being the runner-up in the tournament dedicated to the Sports Immortal Heida Joaquín Tineo. The champions celebrated in style at their home, which hosted the grand final, lifting the Seaboard Cup amidst cheers, trumpets, cake, Halka products, medals and certificates, surrounded by the warmth of family and neighbors who packed the stands to support them. Third place went to Calero, monarch of the previous two editions, who this time yielded to the strength of Villa Carmen. The Falcoms Club took fourth position, also earning medals and certificates as a reward for their effort.

Individually, the new figures of local volleyball shone: Yanibel Pérez (Villa Carmen), Most Valuable Player and Best Attack; Elliany Ceballos (Élite Club), Best Defense, and Isaury García (Falcoms Club), Best Serve. The gathering, which brought together 31 teams from the municipality plus the special guest La Fe from the National District, was a true sporting celebration. The organizing committee also presented awards to councilwoman Ana Durán and communicator Elvin Plácido from Agenda Oriental for their support of the sport. The general coordinator, Dany Martínez, highlighted the quality of play shown in this edition, while the president of the committee, Rafael Pérez Jiménez (Cuchito), and Dr. Heida Joaquín Tineo congratulated the players for their dedication and the coaches for their commitment to the training of the young women.
