MOCA, Espaillat.– A woman went to the Moca police authorities this Friday to report an alleged assault by her partner, showing visible signs of violence and expressing fear for her safety.
Delcy Rodríguez explained that she decided to seek help after the incident and requested protection regarding the situation which, as she stated, puts her integrity at risk. The alleged aggressor was identified only as “Nene”.
After the case became known, community representatives from Espaillat province drew attention to the need to strengthen support services for women facing violence in their homes.
Social leader Juan Comprés, from the Los Peregrinos movement, requested the creation of a shelter in the area, noting that many victims do not have a safe place to go when leaving dangerous situations.
