Zoe Saldaña becomes the second highest-grossing actress in film history

After establishing herself as a key figure in franchises like Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Star Trek, Zoe Saldaña has become one of the highest-grossing performers in film history, a status she reaffirmed with the success of her most recent film, “Avatar: Fire and Ash. 

By mid-2025, Saldaña was the fourth highest-grossing actor of all time, with $14.254 billion earned in over 30 films.

Until July of that year, the list was headed by Scarlett Johansson, with more than $15.187 million in worldwide box office thanks to her role as Black Widow and her participation in more than 50 films.

Secondly, Samuel L. Jackson was listed, with over $14.6 billion, while Robert Downey Jr. was in third place with around $14.3 billion. With the success of Avatar: Fire and Ash, Zoe Saldana surpasses Downey Jr. and positions herself as the second highest-grossing actress in film history, further solidifying her legacy in Hollywood.
