Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0President Luis Abinader<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>participated this Friday in the\u00a0XI National Prayer Breakfast<\/strong>, an event organized by the\u00a0Dominican Army of Prayer,<\/strong>\u00a0where he shared an emotional message about the importance of\u00a0faith, prayer, and unity<\/strong>\u00a0of the Dominican people.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, held at the El Embajador hotel, the president called for national unity<\/strong>, urging both the Government and the opposition to remain united in faith<\/strong>. \u201cWe are one country, one people and a people who believe in God. I ask you to continue praying for the good of the nation, of each family and of all Dominicans.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are a believing family<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ruler highlighted how prayer has been a constant source of strength for him, his family, and his administration. \u201cI communicate with God daily, and in my house the five of us also do: Raquel, our three daughters \u2014now adults\u2014 and I. We are a believing family,\u201d he stated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Head of State called on the Dominican Prayer Army<\/strong> to remain active 24\/7,<\/strong> praying for the well-being of the country. In that sense, he highlighted the transformative power of faith in difficult times, such as during the COVID-19<\/strong> pandemic. \u201cI remember when they told us that the economic recovery would take years. I told them: \u2018We are going to recover quickly, because we are praying.\u2019 And so it was,\u201d<\/em> he recounted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, President Abinader mentioned how prayer has influenced even in critical climatic situations.<\/strong> \u201cWhen we saw that a hurricane had a 90% probability of passing through the center of the island, I just said: \u2018Let’s pray\u2019. And it worked.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During breakfast, messages of faith, hope, and reconciliation<\/strong>, hymns of praise, and prayers for the nation, its authorities, and the well-being of the Dominican people were offered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reverend Reynaldo Franco Aquino<\/strong> offered a special prayer to President Luis Abinader. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
