Saman\u00e1.- <\/strong>The Vargas Almonte Foundation (FUNVA), in collaboration with the deputy of Saman\u00e1, Cecilio Garc\u00eda (Pimpe), announced today the beginning of a free surgical campaign aimed at women suffering from gigantomastia, a condition characterized by the excessive growth of the breasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press conference held at the Dr. Leopoldo Pou Municipal Hospital, Dr. Juan E. Severino, director of the health center, highlighted the importance of this program, whose objective is to improve the quality of life of the patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Orlando Vargas Almonte, president of FUNVA, explained that a team of highly trained surgeons will begin the surgical interventions today, benefiting 22 women from different communities. The day will progressively extend throughout the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deputy Cecilio Garc\u00eda, accompanied by his daughter Michell Garc\u00eda, highlighted the impact of this initiative, pointing out that many of the beneficiaries do not have the necessary resources to afford this type of surgery, the value of which can exceed RD$200,000.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today we feel a deep gratitude, first to God and then to the Foundation, for the opportunity to provide solutions to women who have waited for years for this intervention,” Garc\u00eda expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity was attended by medical professionals such as Dr. Demetrio Vicente and Dr. Sonia Gilba, as well as representatives from the media, who highlighted the relevance of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
