The United Nations (UN) warns that 14,000 babies could die in the next 48 hours in the Gaza Strip if humanitarian aid does not reach their mothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“You know, let me describe to you what’s in those trucks. It’s baby food. Baby nutrition. There are 14,000 babies who will die in the next 48 hours unless we can get to them<\/strong>,” Fletcher said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he referred to the “risks” that the organization runs when trying to pass assistance through the conflict zone, where thousands of families with their children are living a dramatic situation. “We run the risk of looting. We run the risk of being hit as part of the offensive<\/a> Israeli military. We run all kinds of risks trying to get that baby food to those mothers who cannot feed their children at this time because they are malnourished”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Chilling”<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
