Prague.-<\/strong> The Slovak company Klein Vision<\/a><\/strong>, creator of the first certified flying car in the world<\/strong>, plans to start in 2026 the mass production of its Aircar model, a hybrid between car and airplane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slovak engineer and entrepreneur Stefan Klein,<\/strong> creator of the AirCar, plans to start production of the car at its facilities in Slovakia from 2026 with an eye on the luxury market and air taxis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Realistically, only about 4 vehicles per month can be manufactured from its base in Slovakia starting in the first quarter of 2026,” Alex Henderson, a company spokesperson, told Efe on Thursday.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n

In September, the AirCar 2 prototype, which will serve as the basis for this series production, will fly for the first time, and will serve for the company to obtain its certification in the experimental category<\/strong>. The Aircar 1 obtained its certification in Slovakia in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This will allow Klein Vision to produce a maximum of 100 units per year,” Henderson specified, a ceiling that the Slovak visionary does not plan to reach for the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Features of the flying car <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The flying car, which has already completed more than 170 hours of flight tests<\/strong>, including more than 500 takeoffs and landings, uses regular gasoline and can carry two passengers at a cruising altitude of 5,500 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It reaches speeds of up to 250 kilometers\/hour in the air after a runway takeoff that requires 300 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In car mode, the object generates downforce through the spoiler and the pitch of the tail rudder, while in airplane mode, the entire surface generates lift,” the vehicle is described on the company’s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, Klein Vision closed a separate agreement last year with a manufacturer in China<\/strong>, Hebei Jianxin Flying Car Technology, which only has the rights to produce the car in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Chinese companies cannot export abroad, so orders abroad will be managed directly by Klein Vision,” Anton Zajac, co-founder of AirCar, explained to Efe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a starting price of 900,000 euros,<\/strong> and with engines of 280 or 340 horsepower, the flying car is positioned as a luxury product for leisure travel<\/strong> and a possible solution for commercial taxi services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
