USA.- <\/strong>The renowned screenwriter<\/strong> and comic book writer Peter David has died at the age of 68<\/strong> due to the aftereffects of the stroke he suffered in 2012. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His death was confirmed through social media by his wife Kathleen O’Shea David<\/strong>, who indicated that the death occurred last Saturday, May 24th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebrated author had a series of health complications<\/strong>, including “chronic kidney problems, which included heart attacks and multiple surgical interventions,” as stated by his wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a career spanning over four decades, David left his mark on emblematic titles <\/strong>such as The Incredible Hulk<\/em>, X-Factor<\/em> and Spider-Man 2099<\/em> at Marvel Comics<\/strong>, as well as in Aquaman, Young Justice<\/em> and Supergirl<\/strong> for DC Comics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born on September 23, 1956<\/strong> in Fort Meade, Maryland, Peter David<\/strong> began his career as an editor before dedicating himself entirely to writing comics and novels.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

His death comes months after a family friend, Graham Murphy,<\/strong> launched a campaign on GoFundMe<\/a><\/strong> to cover medical expenses, following the rejection of the US public system (Medicaid<\/strong>) to continue his treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
