Mart\u00ednez was being sought by the justice system in connection with several investigations for alleged crimes of extortion, defamation, money laundering, and fraud.\n\nMart\u00ednez, of Dominican nationality and a resident of the United States for years, is known for his posts on social media and his YouTube channel, where he disseminated content related to public figures in the political and business spheres.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Processes in the Dominican Republic<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nAccording to information from the Public Ministry, Mart\u00ednez faces several complaints for defamation and insult under Law 53-07 on High Technology Crimes and Offenses. Among the complainants are Congressman Sergio Moya and politician Guido G\u00f3mez Mazara, who accused him in 2021 of making public statements that linked them to illicit activities.\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After failing to appear before the courts in the open proceedings, he was declared in default and arrest warrants and travel bans were issued. In 2024, the Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office requested his extradition from the United States and managed a red alert with Interpol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Background in the United States<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nIn the United States, Martinez was arrested in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on August 16, 2013, charged with third-degree fraud. The case was recorded under case number 13-019119. According to court documents, he was investigated for allegedly offering legal assistance to relatives of detained or deceased persons, in exchange for money, without fulfilling what was promised.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ongoing Research<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\nThe Attorney General&#8217;s Office reported that, following his arrest, Mart\u00ednez will be placed at the disposal of the judicial system to continue pending processes.
