American singer-songwriter Janet Jackson<\/strong> was one of the main protagonists of the night at the American Music Awards 2025 <\/a><\/strong>as she was recognized with the ICON Award<\/strong>, a prize that highlights the cultural and global influence of the artist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI feel so honored and grateful! I don’t want to disrespect anyone, but I don’t consider myself an icon. Neither my family nor I ever dreamed of achieving fame<\/strong>. We weren’t raised that way. We always had a special love for music, dance, singing, and fame came with effort and dedication,\u201d said Janet Jackson, very excited, as she received the award, dressed in a Vetements look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he added to those present: \u201cMy story, that of my family, is truly an American story.
