Santo Domingo.\u2013<\/strong> Nationalist leader \u00c1ngelo V\u00e1squez,<\/strong> leader of the movement La Antigua Orden Dominicana<\/a>,<\/strong> denounced that he has received multiple death threats from alleged military personnel Haitians <\/a>residing in United States, <\/strong>who, according to him, have sent intimidating messages in which they claim they will attack his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The young leader also addressed sensitive issues such as media manipulation, attempts at censorship on social media, and the need to maintain freedom of expression. He criticized the recent meeting of President Luis Abinader with former presidents Danilo Medina, Hip\u00f3lito Mej\u00eda, and Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez on the Haitian issue, pointing out that both current and past authorities share responsibility for what he defined as “25 years of abandonment.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an interview on the program Casi Personal, hosted by Graymer M\u00e9ndez and broadcast every Saturday at 7:00 PM on VTV, channel 32, V\u00e1zquez attributed these actions to sectors seeking to silence his activism in defense of national sovereignty and his stance against irregular migration. He revealed that he has documented all the threats received and that, although he has not been contacted by state security authorities, his group has taken precautions. \u201cWe are peaceful, but not harmless,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another sense, V\u00e1zquez insisted that he has no political aspirations, although he acknowledged that many sectors of the population ask him to run. \u201cI am not interested in living off politics. My duty is with the people, and not every four years, but every time we take to the streets,\u201d<\/strong> he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, he affirmed that, despite the risks, his commitment to the defense of the homeland is unwavering. \u201cSomeone has to step up,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I am willing to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
