<\/p>\n\n\nParis (EFE) – Serbian Novak Djokovic debuted his ‘centenary’ status, acquired last Saturday after winning his hundredth title in Geneva, with a victory in the first round of Roland Garros against American Mackenzie McDonald, 6-3, 6-3 and 6-3 in almost two hours of match.\n\n\n

Relegated to 6th place in the ranking in a very irregular season in which even the one from the shores of Lake Leman had not lifted any title since the Olympic gold in Paris 2024, the Serbian has recovered part of the winning aura by stringing together his fifth consecutive victory of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A good series for the man of all records, who had not been able to advance a round in Monte Carlo nor in Madrid <\/a>and who skipped the Rome event.

“It has been a nice feeling to return to this court one more year, where I won the Olympic gold, it brings me good memories,” said the Serbian as soon as he achieved the victory, while he recalled that the medal is kept by his father, like most of his trophies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
