Santiago, R.D. \u2013<\/strong> The Santiago Prosecutor’s Office has summoned the communicator \u00c1ngel Ram\u00f3n De Jes\u00fas Mart\u00ednez Jim\u00e9nez, known as \u201cEl Detective\u201d, to be questioned within the framework of a formal complaint filed by the businessman Arnulfo de Jes\u00fas Guti\u00e9rrez Almonte, president of the National Equestrian Association.<\/p>\n\n\nThe file accuses Martinez of alleged extortion, blackmail, defamation, public insult, and misuse of digital platforms.\n\nThe lawsuit, filed on April 26, 2024, also includes Vhanessa Victoria, identified as an accomplice in an alleged smear campaign against Guti\u00e9rrez Almonte, disseminated through the YouTube channel “Detective \u00c1ngel” and replicated on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.\n\n\n

According to the legal document, on April 20, Mart\u00ednez allegedly disseminated a video titled \u201cArnulfo Guti\u00e9rrez and his Sons, Active Investigation from the USA. Santiago, Political Mafia\u201d, in which statements are made that the plaintiff qualifies as \u201cdefamatory, unfounded, and outrageous\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\nGuti\u00e9rrez maintains that these publications not only attacked his honor and dignity, but also affected the image of his family, recognized for its history of contribution to the social and cultural development of Santiago.\n\nThe complaint invokes articles 367 et seq. of the Dominican Penal Code, in addition to Law 53-07 on High Technology Crimes and Offenses and Law 61-32 on Freedom of Expression and Dissemination of Thought.
