Washington.-<\/strong> The White House rejected on Thursday the criticisms of Elon Musk<\/a> to President Donald Trump’s fiscal plan<\/strong> while thanking the work done by the businessman at the head of the Department of Governmental Efficiency<\/strong> (DOGE, in English).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated in a press conference that the Trump Administration thanks Musk for “his service” and rejected that the tax plan will increase the country’s budget deficit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We appreciate you boosting DOGE and your work in efforts to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, which will continue,” he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Leavitt denied that Musk was right, after the magnate expressed his “disappointment” with Trump’s fiscal plan known as ‘Great and Beautiful Bill’, which was approved by the House of Representatives last week and sent to the US Senate.<\/p>\n\n\nLeavitt insisted that, despite what Musk claimed, the plan will save $1.6 trillion for public coffers and noted that “the president is very proud of the ‘Great and beautiful bill’, and wants to see it passed. He wants the Senate to get to work on it and send it to his office as soon as possible.”\n\n\n

The White House spokesperson also did not clarify whether Musk will be replaced at the head of DOGE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, in an interview with CBS television, Musk stated: “frankly, I was disappointed to see the huge spending bill, which increases the budget deficit, not only does not reduce it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing.”<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
