After two surgeries, he was assigned in April to Triple-A Syracuse to complete his rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since then, he has impressed: in his last nine minor league games, he is batting .515 with three home runs and an impressive <strong>OPS of 1.382<\/strong>, making it clear that he is ready to return to the highest level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Defensive Versatility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond his offensive capabilities, Mauricio offers valuable versatility on the field. During his first MLB stint in 2023, he played 22 games at second base, five at third base, and two at shortstop.
