CLEVELAND \u2014<\/strong> Dominican shortstop Jeremy Pe\u00f1a<\/strong> continues to be hot with the bat and extended his hitting streak to 12 consecutive games, in the 4-2 victory of the Houston Astros<\/strong> over the Cleveland Guardians<\/strong>, this Friday in Major League Baseball action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pe\u00f1a went 5-3 with a run scored<\/strong>, and raised his average to .449 (22 hits in 49 at-bats) during this impressive offensive streak, which includes three home runs and six RBIs. This is his second streak of at least ten consecutive games with a hit this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lefty Colton Gordon<\/strong> (1-1), in his fifth MLB start, earned his first victory in the Major Leagues<\/strong>, pitching five solid innings, allowing one run and seven hits, with five strikeouts. He was drafted in the eighth round in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
