However, in the afternoon, <strong>some local showers return with possible thunderstorms and wind gusts<\/strong>, especially towards inland areas such as <strong>Santo Domingo Norte, San Crist\u00f3bal, Piedra Blanca (Monse\u00f1or Nouel), La Vega, San Juan and El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a<\/strong>.\n\nOn <strong>Sunday<\/strong>, a <strong>decrease in Saharan dust<\/strong> is expected, which, along with a trough and low pressure in the western Caribbean Sea, increases humidity and gives way to <strong>moderate to heavy rains from morning hours<\/strong> in provinces of the Caribbean coast such as <strong>Santo Domingo, San Crist\u00f3bal, Peravia, Azua, Barahona and Pedernales<\/strong>.
