Santo Domingo. \u2013 With a few minutes to spare before the legal deadline, the Public Ministry filed this Saturday in the Prosecutor’s Office of the National District its formal request for coercive measures against the brothers Antonio and Maribel Espaillat, owners of the Jet Set nightclub, for their alleged responsibility in the collapse of the establishment’s roof, which left a balance of 236 dead and at least 180 injured.<\/p>\n
In the instance, signed by prosecutors H\u00e9ctor Garc\u00eda, Miguel Collado, and Enmanuel Ram\u00edrez, a 18-month preventive prison measure is requested for Antonio Espaillat, while house arrest is proposed for his sister Maribel.<\/p>\n
