said the Venezuelan president.\n\nIn response to this request, he continued, &#8220;I decided to reopen the Caracas-Santo Domingo flights to connect us with the Dominican Republic, our sister Dominican Republic with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.&#8221;\n\nOn Sunday, the Dominican Republic said it is still analyzing the eventual resumption of commercial flights to Venezuela, after the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) of the South American country announced the restoration of these operations, suspended since July 2024 after the questioning of several countries for the proclamation of Maduro as the winner of the presidential elections.\n\nThe Dominican government, through the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), &#8220;will responsibly evaluate and in strict adherence to the national interest any request to re-establish air routes, as is the case of Venezuela,&#8221;
