“I have been serving these communities for over 32 years. I know their concerns. There is a disenchantment with the current leadership, which has led to low voter turnout. My proposal is a call for renewal, to work for security, affordable housing, and quality of life,” said the candidate.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nHenr\u00edquez has exercised leadership in local institutions such as the “Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Queens”, and has been an active voice in causes such as the “defense of tenants, youth and immigrant families”.\n\n\n

His candidacy is backed by unions such as the United Federation of Teachers (UFT)<\/strong>, the Hotel Trades Council (HTC)<\/strong>, and various community organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI haven’t waited for an office to lead. Now we want more investment in our communities, more programs for young people and more security.
