Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT) awarded this Monday 664 new international scholarships to Dominican students who will pursue master’s programs <\/strong>at universities in six countries, totaling more than 10,000 scholarships awarded since the beginning of the current government administration.<\/p>\n\n\n

\"MESCyT<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\nThe scholarships are part of the international academic mobility program promoted by MESCyT, with the aim of supporting meritorious students, many of whom come from provinces with high levels of social and economic vulnerability.\n\nThe delivery act was headed by the head of MESCyT, Franklin Garc\u00eda Ferm\u00edn, and was carried out under the coordination of the International Scholarships Directorate. The selected students will pursue postgraduate studies in academic centers located in Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Brazil, United States and Mexico.\n\nAmong the receiving universities are Universidad Nebrija, Escuela de Organizaci\u00f3n Industrial (EOI), University of Navarra, Middlesex University, Instituto Marangoni, MIU Miami International University, and Instituto Mondeli de Odontolog\u00eda.\n\nAccording to the authorities, the scholarship recipients will pursue master’s degrees in areas such as logistics, cybersecurity, business analytics, and technologies applied to business, among others.\n\nDuring the farewell ceremony for the scholarship recipients corresponding to the 2022-2024 call, Edith Marie Pedemonte Luna spoke on behalf of the graduates. Pedemonte, who pursued a master’s degree in International Design at Columbia College Chicago, United States, emotionally recalled the moment she received the news that MESCyT would cover the costs of her studies and confessed \u201cI almost shouted with joy knowing that I could pursue a postgraduate degree abroad\u201d<\/strong>.\n\n

\"MESCyT<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\nMoved, she expressed that this opportunity completely changed her life and that of her family: \u201cToday I can say, from the bottom of my heart, that MESCyT transformed my reality. Not only did I manage to graduate, but I was able to do so without financial burdens, something I never imagined possible at such a young age.\u201d\n\n\n
