Rome.-<\/strong> The wedding between Jeff Bezos<\/strong> and Lauren S\u00e1nchez in Venice could generate an economic impact of approximately 957.3 million euros<\/strong>, mainly due to visibility and “represents an event of exceptional importance for Italy and for the city”<\/strong>, according to an estimate by the Statistics Office of the Italian Ministry of Tourism published this Friday.<\/p>\n\n\nFor the Ministry of Tourism<\/strong> this event could relaunch the city “especially at a time of decline in tourism in the city, as in the first months of 2025 it registered a fall of 6.7% in overnight stays”.\n\nAccording to these estimates, “the wedding could generate a total economic impact of approximately 957.3 million euros, equivalent to almost 68% of the city’s annual tourism turnover.”\n\nAlthough they specify that 93.6% of this estimate, 895.7 million euros, derives from the value attributed to the global media visibility generated by the event.\n\nWhile the direct benefits, i.e. the expenses of the 200 guests<\/strong> and rental costs, represent only 3%, about 28.4 million euros of the total.\n\n“Bezos and Lauren’s wedding is a clear sign of the growing relevance of Italy<\/strong> in the international tourism landscape,” also commented the Italian Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanch\u00e8<\/strong>, who assured that “events like this strengthen our global image, generate employment, promote the territory and attract new qualified tourism flows.”\n\n\n
