Houngbo, in which he expressed his sincerest gratitude and recognition for the speech given by the Dominican president during the Annual Forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice, held on June 12 in the Palais des Nations, in Geneva, Switzerland.\n\nIn the letter, the ILO Director-General highlighted that President Abinader’s words resonated deeply with the forum participants, calling his vision of a more just and inclusive world as “inspiring” and “a model to follow”.\n\nHoungbo particularly valued the Dominican head of state’s focus on the role of social justice<\/strong> as the axis of sustainable development, as well as his emphasis on the link between decent work, fair wages, social cohesion, and the well-being of people.\n\nHe also acknowledged the Dominican government’s efforts to expand access to health, education, and training, increase women’s participation in the workforce, and reduce poverty.\n\n“Your call to integrate human rights into economic policies and to support a just transition towards sustainable economies demonstrates an ethical and forward-looking leadership approach,” reads the document.\n\n\n
