This improvement is due to the distancing of the trough and the tropical wave, which will be replaced by a drier air mass loaded with Saharan dust.<\/p>\n\n\nThe agency details that the presence of these Saharan particles will generate a grayish sky, scarce cloud cover, and hot temperatures, with highs between <strong>32 \u00b0C and 34 \u00b0C<\/strong>, and lows between <strong>21 \u00b0C and 23 \u00b0C<\/strong>.\n\nAlthough the atmosphere will become more stable, <strong>local rainfall could be recorded in the afternoon<\/strong>, mainly in <strong>Santiago Rodr\u00edguez, Monse\u00f1or Nouel, La Vega, San Juan and El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a<\/strong>.\n\nThe <strong>National Forecast Center<\/strong> maintains <strong>weather alerts<\/strong> in five provinces, due to the risk of river flooding, gullies, urban floods and possible landslides:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Santo Domingo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>San Pedro de Macor\u00eds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monte Plata<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hato Mayor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monse\u00f1or Nouel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\nIn the <strong>Greater Santo Domingo<\/strong>, moderate to heavy showers with thunderstorms and wind gusts are forecast until the early hours of the night<\/strong>, especially in Santo Domingo North and West.\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tropical Storm Barry Poses No Threat<\/h3>\n\n\nOn the other hand, Indomet reported that tropical storm <strong>Barry<\/strong> is located about 55 kilometers east\/northeast of Tuxpan, Mexico, with maximum winds of 75 km\/h and moving northwest at 15 km\/h. It is expected to make landfall tonight, <strong>without posing a threat to the Dominican Republic<\/strong>.\n\nAn area of low pressure is also observed near the Gulf and the east coast of the United States, which could have some tropical or subtropical development.
